Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Chartwell and Leeds Castle are all a short drive. The local train station (2 miles) has a direct service to London Victoria (40 minutes), and Sevenoaks and Tonbridge are both easily accessible by car or train, whilst the Channel Tunnel provides quick and simple access to Europe. Golf and riding are available locally. Village pub 200 yards, shops 2 miles.

For traditional seaside fun and games there are Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs, while the beach at Camber Sands is justly popular.
